Coyle Girls

I got the honor to photograph Coyle Family as they welcomed two beautiful little girls. Kylie & Josh contacted me at about 30 weeks to document their twins right after delivery, because one of the girls had a serious birth defect that wouldn't allow for her to live long past birth.

I asked Kylie to tell the story from her perspective. Please read and when you are done, say a prayer for this wonderful family.

"I remember finding out I was pregnant and couldn’t wait to tell Josh the news! After he spent the day hunting, he finally arrived back at the house and I couldn’t hold it in any longer! We were absolutely excited to take on the role of being parents. At our 8-week appointment we had an ultrasound and were informed that everything looked good with the baby and were sent home with multiple ultrasound pictures to show off. The discussion then became whether or not we were going to find out if we were having a little girl or boy! We continued to have monthly appointments and were excited to hear the heart beat every appointment, as it always sounded strong! At our 20-week appointment, our world quickly changed.

We were informed that we were not only expecting one baby, but two baby girls! Josh and I could not believe it because the two of us don’t have twins anywhere in our family! Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned to sadness when we were informed that one of our precious girls had a birth defect that wouldn’t allow for her to live much past birth. The next few days after this devastating news were followed by hours of ultrasounds, many pokes from needles, multiple tests, and a whirlwind of emotions.

As the news settled in, Josh and I began to take the approach of feeling extremely grateful that God still blessed us with a strong healthy baby girl. On July 9th, Josh and I welcomed two baby girls, Aubrey Ann and Kollins Kay. After spending six unforgettable hours with Aubrey, she left this world to watch over her sister and us. After three long weeks in the NICU, Josh and I got to take our beautiful daughter Kollins home to share with the world.

Our journey during this pregnancy has had a few ups and downs and a couple of turns we did not expect, but we would not have had it any other way. We are grateful for all the friends and family that has been there for us and we wouldn’t know where to begin thanking everyone. We are excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to share our story along the way". - Kylie Coyle

Rest in Peace Beautiful Aubrey Ann

I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sanford for being so gentle, kind, and compassionate.
